Smile Yoga Group Class Description

Group Classes are a 60-90 minute Primary Series Class or Ashtanga Inspired Vinyasa Flow class.

Classes are designed for mixed levels open to all levels of yoga experience with many modifications of asanas given if needed. I give many personalized hands on adjustments, and will take special requests from students. The classes will guide you through a both meditative and physically energizying yogic journey, ending with personalized adjustments and aromatherapy in your Savasana (Final Relaxation Pose). You will feel refreshed, relaxed, stronger, and more flexible. A consistent yoga practice will bring peace and clarity to the mind while bringing toning, flexibility, and strength to the body!

I teach in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Tradition which focuses on the 3rd (asanas - physical postures) and 4th (pranayama - the breath) limbs of Patanjali's eight limbed Ashtanga yoga. The benefits of this system are cardiovascular for the heart, creation of a mind/body connection by linking the breath to the movement, purifying toxins from the body, and cleansing the circulatory system with fresh oxygenated blood. Most importantly Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga quiets the mind in order to be at peace, be your authentic self, and live a joyous life!
